Erie’s new Street League skate plaza is now open. Check out this link for details.

James sent over some photos of the new skate spot that he is working on in Arvada. This is not a Team Pain project, but all of the people working on this new spot work for Team Pain. The spot is located at 8475 W. 57th Ave., which is just west of Olde Town Arvada. Check out the progress pics!

The City of Ft. Collins will hold a grand opening ceremony for their new Waters Way Park, which includes the new skatepark, on October 11 at 4:30 PM. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and refreshments will be served. Waters Way Park is located in south central Fort Collins adjacent to Pelican Marsh Natural Area at 715 Fairbourne Way.

Check out this story about Monte Vista’s soon to be opened skatepark. This park has lots of community support! The skatepark is currently under construction with a grand opening celebration planned for spring 2013.

Skate to Donate is throwing a 5 mile distance skate and festival to benefit Jefferson County’s underfunded schools this Saturday, September 15th. Registration (and starting point) is at the new Arvada Skatepark (Apex Center). You can sign up at anytime between 9:30am-1pm. Distance skate starts at 2pm and ends at the festival in Olde Town Arvada. Registration of $20 gets you lunch and water.

The Town of Erie will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new skatepark on Saturday, August 25 at 11:00 am at the Erie Community Park, which is located at 450 Powers Street in Erie. Check out this link for more information.

Check out these construction photos of the new Waters Way Skate Spot in Ft. Collins. This is a city project, but all of the workers are from the Team Pain crew. The Waters Way park is located near the intersection of Trilby Rd. and Lemay Ave. The spot should be open to skate shortly after completion of construction, which looks to be very soon! Thanks to James for the photo update.

Loveland’s next skatepark, at Mehaffey Park, is now planned to be 5,000 square feet bigger, but will take more time to complete. The city just purchased more land for the park, which allows for more parking and bigger amenities. The skatepark was originally planned to be 10,000 square feet – now it is planned to be 15,000. The park is expected to open in the spring of 2014. Check out this article for more information.

Thornton’s second skatepark in 2 years is close to completion. The new park is located at the Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center at 112th Ave. and Colorado Blvd. Here are some construction photos courtesy of Taylor D.
